Portfolio Recap: Dec. 17, 2007

Here comes the daily list of the Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. Monday was a disaster! It is never a good sign when you can count the number of stocks that finished up for the day... on one hand.
THE GOOD: Not much too celebrate today.
Aspreva ASPV - Shareholders accepted the buyout for $26.00 a share from Galenica. Click HERE for the press release.
Euronet EEFT - Up again since the announcement of the $1.65 bill bid for Moneygram. Click HERE for the story. The stock was up 2.7% during a horrible tape; thanks to an upgrade at Citi.
Potash POT - Rarely does up 0.6% qualify for a spot in the "Good" category, but anything in the green deserves some applause.
Cimarex XEC - Up a penny... hooray!
THE BAD: This list would be longer, if I had the strength.
ART Tech ARTG - Since hitting its 52 week high of $4.84, the stock has pulled back 53 cents.
Aegean Marine ANW - Down 7.8% today. Ouch!
China Mobile CHL - Down 4.7% on the day, and right into Jim Trippon's buy range for the stock. In case you did not listen to the latest interview with Mr. Trippon, he said this stock was a buy in the low to mid $80's.
Energy Conversion ENER - Gave away some of its recent gains, down 6.4% on the day.
Focus Media FMCN - It was announced that FMCN will join the Nasdaq 100 on Dec. 24th, 2007. Even with this good news, the stock slid 5.4%. Click HERE for the press release.
Frontier Oil FTO - News that a fire broke out in an FTO refinery. The stock managed to somewhat shrug off the news, finishing down 1.2%.
Gol Air GOL - Has finished down five straight days. Even after this losing streak, GOL was still ranked as an institutional favorite in Brazil, click HERE.
Telefonica TEF - Finished down 4 of the last 5 trading days. Dropped 1.1% on the day and hit a new 20 day low of $95.59.
United Online UNTD - Caught an upgrade at Jeffries & Co. on Friday, down a penny today. Click HERE for the story.
URS Corp. URS - Down 3.0% on the day, and closed just above its 65 day low of $51.16.
THE UGLY: ANYTHING CHINESE or BRAZILIAN.
