Portfolio Recap; Dec. 4, 2007

Here comes the daily list of the Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. Tough day for energy on Tuesday. It looks like $100 is farther off than most people thought.
THE GOOD:
Altius Mineral ALS.TO - Continues to fly high, Up 4.6% and hit new 5 & 20 day highs of $28.04 during the session.
Anadarko Petrol APC - Bucks the downward trend of the energy sector and finishes up 2.6% after they announced a discovery in the Gulf of Mexico. Click HERE for the press release.
Potash POT - The Gartman endorsement was not enough to keep the run going. POT was down 1.1%.
CVRD RIO - Closed down 48 cents and at its 50 day SMA of $34.43. A report shows that Brazil's steel production should hit a record in 2008. Click HERE for the story.
THE BAD:
Devon Energy DVN - As energy prices slide, so does Devon, down 22 cents on the day. Devon elected a new member to their board. Click HERE for the article.
Encana ECA - Falls along with most of energy stocks, down 1.5%. Has been trading in a narrow range, and Tues. it hit a 5 day high AND low. Announced completion of a $1.5 bill debt offering. Click HERE for details.
ISHARE MSCI BRAZIL EWZ & ISHARES S&P LAT AM40 ILF Both finished the day down.
FirstSolar FSLR - Lost 6.4%, but legislation to increase tax incentives to renewable energy products will be voted on in the House. Click HERE for Reuters article.
Gol Air GOL - Ends its winning streak, down 2.5% for the day. GOL announced traffic statistics. Click HERE for the stats.
Transocean Inc. RIG - The stock was off 5.5%, but more importantly there was a lot of insider selling. Click HERE for the Senior VP, click HERE for the exec. VP, and click HERE for the secretary.
Synaptics SYNA - Down 2.9% for the day, apparently the Street did not like that the CEO exercised options. Click HERE for details.
THE UGLY: Reserved for the most precipitous falls from grace.
United Online UNTD - Another day, another new 65 day low of $11.72.
